Metal Fabrication

The Art of Metal Fabrication

Metal fabrication is as much of an art as it is science and heavily based upon math.  From simply cutting some steel to welding magnesium, there is a specific process that should be followed.

If you are looking to have something replicated, replaced or custom made, look to Advantech to help with your needs.  If you need a custom bracket or something more advanced like a custom roll cage or a complete chassis for your race car, we are here to help you comply with all sanctioning rules that apply to your class.

Roll Cages & More

Most shops will install a beautiful roll cage, but if it does not pass technical inspection and get certified by a professional the car will not be able to run on certain event nights at the race track.  There is a known rule that any spot on the roll cage that can touch your head must be padded with S.F.I. approved padding.  We are here to guide you through the process of making your machine customized to your needs but also to the needs for racing and personal safety.

Even if you are not looking to go all-in on a race car but wish to strengthen the original chassis or add ladder bars, we have the technical experience to fabricate what you require.  Sometimes with the installation of exhaust headers there is a heat soak issue where a starter or some electrical components need to be protected.  Using aluminum and hand forming shields and panels is something we take pride in.

Keeping your car looking as though it was done this way straight from the factory is our goal.  We like to try and design or redesign components that are already good and make them better.  If you love your old car but want to update the front suspension and steering, we have the tools and experience to design custom crossmembers, steering linkages, control arms and steering geometry to make turning the steering wheel easier.

We have designed custom crossmembers for General Motors A-body cars to go from a steering box to a rack and pinion, giving the ultimate feel and response that you have been needing to make driving your classic automobile fun again.
